These two other options are available if you enter into a special contract before you get married, namely an Ante-nuptial Agreement.

If you are not a Legal Hero Policyholder, an ANC will cost you in the region of R2500 to R5000, depending on the complexity of the contract and the seniority of the legal professional that is involved in the process. This fee includes the cost of the consultation, drafting of the contract, as wel as the fee of the Deeds Office to register this contract.
